Care and Use
- DO: Wipe your table off after every use. This will prevent possibly corrosive liquids, like sodas, from affecting the finish if left on the finish for prolonged periods of time.
- DO: Wipe up spills when they occur on wood surface.
- DO: Blot up spills when they occur on the speed cloth.
- DO: Dust with Swiffer or soft cloth dampened with water. Products like Murphy Oil Soap also work well.
- DO: use non-porous coasters/trivets under hot, cold or wet items left on the top.
- DO: Store toppers and accessories in a climate-controlled space that is 30%-50% humidity and 50F-90F temperature.
- DO: If using an older laptop that prone to generating abnormal amounts of heat please use a matt under it when placed on wood surfaces.
- DO: use storage bags made from a breathable material storing your dining toppers or accessories in a bag for storage.

- DO NOT: clean your table or accessories with abrasive products, household cleaners such as vinegar or ammonia or any solvents. Ammonia/vinegar, for example, can cause chemical reactions with the tannins in woods such as oak. While all purchases are is best to avoid these chemicals.
- DO NOT: Store the tables, toppers and accessories in a NON–climate-controlled space. Humidity outside the 30%-50% or temperatures outside 50F-90F may result in abnormal or extreme wood movement resulting in damage.
- DO NOT: Store tables, toppers or accessories in a non-climate-controlled space such as the attic or garage.
- DO NOT: Store your toppers or accessories on or next to HVAC vents, heat grates or radiators.
- DO NOT: Climb, hang, or stand on the table or any accessories.
OTHER GENERAL GUIDANCE:
- Check your hardware annually for security.
- For customers with young children, out of prudence, we recommend use of the included tip-strap on topper stands. Installation instructions can be found in the assembly instructions by clicking HERE.
- Your table legs have built-in levelers. Please adjust them to ensure stability on uneven surfaces.
- Polishing or waxing not required on any components. Canning wax can be rubbed into Songbird accessory slots to “lubricate” accessory movement, if desired. Excess canning wax should be removed with mineral spirits only.
